Digital Communication

About the Program:

We are proud to announce that a new branch “Digital Communication” is also added in our M.Tech. program from the year 2014. It’s an AICTE recognized course and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidhyalaya, Bhopal.

Digital communication deals with how to provide access of different communication modes like mobiles, internet to rural areas so that transfer of information becomes easy, fast and affordable to everyone. Through this program students can go in industry as well as research and development. The syllabus of digital communication includes topics like Advanced modulation techniques, Error control, Networking, Satellite Communications, Mobile and Wireless Communications, Microwave and Antenna designs. For the specialization in this program students can choose elective subjects like Advanced Digital Signal processing, Image processing, Data Compression, Radar Systems, Optical Communications & Networking, Large Area & Flexible Electronics and if a student want to do an industrial project than he or she can go for industry based laboratory set up like PACE Ltd.

Eligibility for the Program:

Any student who has completed his or her BE or B. Tech in Electronics and Communication or Telecommunication with the aggregate of 50% or more is eligible to apply for this course. For SC/ST category 5% relaxation in the aggregate is provided by the government so they needed minimum 45% aggregate to apply for this course. Students can get admission in this course by cracking two national level exams that are PGCET of GATE. Government also provided scholarship to the GATE qualified candidate. Limited numbers of sponsored and managing seats are also reserved for this course.

Engineering is the field where only theoretical knowledge in enough to get success in this field, practical knowledge is also required to achieve new heights and this is the reason why our college is totally dedicated to provide highly advanced labs to the students so that they can perform practical work and also use their creativity to design and innovate new ideas.
